In Vendôme, on Saturday October 18, Rouillac OVV sold two Louis XV-period consoles forming a pair, in almond green painted wood with white rechampi decoration, for €7,440. It features laurel tori, medallions and foliate scrolls, surmounted by Caunes-Minervois marble. The two elegant pieces (84 x 135 x 63 cm) come from the collection of Eugène de Machault, grandson of Jean-Baptiste de Machault d'Arnouville, French Keeper of the Seals under Louis XV.By contrast, the18th-century fluorspar clock(see Gazette no. 35) remains unsold.
