Artists and visual artists have been hard hit by the consequences of the lockdown linked to the global health crisis. They find themselves without income or unemployment insurance as a result of the closure of galleries and institutions and the cancellation of fairs and exhibitions. To help them, an exceptional auction sale is being organized for the benefit of living artists by the ROUILLAC auction house, with the help of the magazine ARTENSION, the PULS'ART-FIAA fair, the CCC OD art centre and other partners invited to join this initiative.100% sale for artists
This ONLINE sale, by electronic auction, will be held from Thursday, April 30, 6 pm to Sunday, May 3, 3 pm (Paris time) on rouillac.com, without any fees for either the seller or the buyer. 100% of the sum collected will be paid directly to the artist. The works will be presented with the help of a photograph. Each seller will ship the work to its new owner, at the expense of the buyer, as is customary.Consignment until April 28th
Artists who wish to do so are invited to consign a work before Wednesday, April 28th at 3pm, to the ROUILLAC auction house by following the instructions published on its website. The participation of each artist is limited to one work, in order to encourage subsequent direct contact between collectors and the artist or his/her dealer, identified in the auction catalogue.Support Fund
Alternatively, collectors, gallery owners or artists who are not in a very precarious situation can also act by offering a work from their collection. It will be sold at the same sale, not for their benefit but for the benefit of a support fund, steered by a FONDATION, which will be publicly reported on. Funds for artists in dire need will thus be quickly mobilized from these assets.We all count on your enthusiasm and generosity for the benefit of living creation and are eager to unveil the list of works.
